Merry Christmas

We had quite a large crowd and showing at our Christmas meeting last night. We had cookies, cider, draws, games and alot of fun.

This is a flimsy that was put together yesterday and home with me to quilt this weekend. It is for a young teenager in town who is undergoing cancer treatments right now. His family has had more downs than ups this past few years and this our way of showing them that they are in our thoughts and hearts.

Lorna donates our placemats this year .... each Christmas we donate a number of placemats to the local Meals on Wheels program. This year we gave 76 placemats. The mats get delivered to seniors in our community involved with the home meal program.

A couple shots here of our crowd. We had a few of our beginner quilters come out last night ... I'm sorry I didn't get a better shot of them as they were sitting to my left.

On to Show & Tell!

Nadine decided to join us for her annual guest appearance.

November

We had quite a showing at our November meeting...

Many thanks to our outgoing officers ... a new season brings new new faces to our executive chairs.
Special thanks to Audrey who has served as president. We welcome Sandra D. and Lorna to the new shared role.

Sandra S. has been a very good scrap picker this month. Sandra has stepped up to be our secretary this time around. Thanks Sandra!

Myrna models some sweet Christmas pillows. Myrna stays on as our membership officer. Many thanks to you Myrna!

I'm convinced Helen has insomnia .. she couldn't sleep! She has been mass producing quilts this month and has made a number of sweet stockings.

Donna will have the best dressed wine bottles at her table.

Gladys finally shows off her gorgous mini quilt which she made for our quilt challenge.

And has the most spoiled grand puppies around!

Phyllis also models her 24# mini

Cindy has been busy ....

Phyl shows off another beautiful Canada quilt she made ... lucky daughter gets this one!

Yvonne shows off more bags ... she has become our expert bag maker!

I've had fun this month with my mini quick curve ruler and a scrap basket (I'm on a fabric diet)

And finally got around to binding some oldies ...

Lorna has a sweet scrappy make

Audrey is happier than this picture shows as she models her sweet Christmas pillows.

And Peg shows off some sweet gifts to show before she wraps them up.  Peg now joins the executive as treasurer. We love to make money for our guild ... money to buy fabric to make things to make money to buy fabric and make things .... and on and on (we like to buy fabric and make things!)
Thank you Peg!

Lynne shows off this sweet broken herringbone. Thank you for tackling the secretary job for so long! It was much appreciated!

Our next meeting will be our Christmas party ... I hope you can all come out for some fun and cheer.
Happy quilting!
